You can lighten your teeth up to several shades in just one visit under professional care.

This cosmetic dentistry treatment whitens your teeth with professional-grade equipment and expertise.

It brightens your smile without you having to worry about an uneven application and not getting the results you want.

Keep reading to learn more about how professional teeth whitening enhances your confidence and self-esteem.

How much does professional teeth whitening cost?

Professional teeth whitening is the least expensive cosmetic procedure at the dentist.

But:

Cost varies per patient, depending on your smile case, the desired result, and the type of whitening treatment used.

The best way to figure out your cost is by contacting your dentist.

If you’re in the Greater Miami area, you can schedule an initial consultation with our office! We’ll go through the entire treatment plan to make sure it aligns with your timeline and budget.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Professional teeth whitening is safe, and one of the best ways to improve your smile instantly!

Your dentist will check for existing tooth and gum sensitivity, dental work, and oral disease at your consultation to ensure a teeth whitening treatment is right for you.

What’s a teeth whitening procedure like?

Most professional teeth whitening services usually only take one visit.

At Advanced Center for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, this is what you can expect with our Zoom! teeth whitening treatment.

Here’s a preview of how it works:

Step 1:

We’ll check your teeth and gums to make sure they’re healthy before beginning treatment.

After, we’ll decide how white you want to go. Your teeth are then cleaned and prepped to remove plaque.

Step 2:

Your teeth are dried, and a retractor is used to keep your lip and tongues from interfering with the whitening products. We’ll use a gel or shield to protect your gums.

Step 3:

We’ll cover the front surface of your teeth with a whitening solution, and a special light will activate the whitening process! Then, we’ll closely monitor the progress of your lightning procedure until your desired result is reached.

Step 4:

We’ll rinse off the solution and potentially apply fluoride for tooth sensitivity.

After your treatment is done, we’ll go over post-care, including food and drinks to avoid for the next few hours to maximize your new smile’s whiteness.

How long does teeth whitening last?

It can last up to 2-3 years, whereas over-the-counter home whitening products may only last a few months.

Tooth whitening treatments also depend on your lifestyle habits – good oral habits can keep your newly whitened smile around for longer.

What causes discoloration or stains on my teeth?

There are a few factors that contribute to discolorations and stains.

Some common causes are:

  • Foods and liquids you consume
  • Dental hygiene
  • Smoking
  • Age

Unfortunately, there are some factors we can’t control, such as age. Teeth tend to change color as we age due to the natural wear down of the enamel.

Brushing your teeth twice a day with an FDA-approved toothpaste helps reduce stains, but if you’re still concerned about teeth stains, contact your dental office to discuss your options.
